Here’s a theory…

Some time today(monday) TAMTW will be released officially as a single, you will be able to buy it from the waste store. This way, by giving it to the fans first as an “unofficial”/underground release through channels where it’s most likely that an independent/ordinary fan will find it first, and giving the fan community and other listeners the opportunity to make their own mind about it before anyone’s sure it is in fact a real release from the band, and it gets devoured in the media, it couldn’t be more of a finger in the face of both the industry and media. By leaking a track unofficially up to a weekend like this, the media is caught with their pants down, and can’t really do anything until monday, where the track is official. But then listeners will already have digested the song, and the news become old.
And maybe “Wall of Ice” is more of a concept than an EP, where the bands and their fans are on the one side of the wall and the industry/media is on the other. My theory is that we won’t see an EP, but rather more singles released like this in the future… that would be a great.

That is an awesome image, but because of it’s dimensions it seems unlikely that it’s album art.

But then again, radiohead can do whatever the hell they want. so who knows. If it’s a new image on the w.a.s.t.e server then it more than likely is for a product that hasn’t gone live yet, simply because, what else would it be for?

Well first, this image looks very much like the one that was released with the leak. I’m not sure what it’s called, but the type where a bunch of characters are typed into a space and resemble an image. Both images look like gnarled tree branches. And if this whole thing really has been orchestrated by these guys, they’re genius. Not only by finding really cool ways to release their music to fans, but by also making it fun in causing hysteria amongst hungry listeners. This is definitely an uncertain time for musicians concerning how to present your music to your fans, and being able to release such amazing work year after year, and then go above and beyond, changing with the times, and stay on top with how you put it out there….sigh. These guys can do no wrong. I really hope this isn’t a prank or just nonsense. Because the fact is with the technology out there, and with some talent you really can do anything these days!! So for them to use it to it’s full potential just goes to show how awesome this band really is. OK i’m done lol

Anyway, the artwork is interesting..

If I remember correctly, when they first released In Rainbows for the pay-what-you-want download, they didn’t put it up immediately. I remember checking constantly until 1230AM EST and not getting it until after I woke up at 630.

So hopefully that calms your nerves for now.

And if it’s not up by 7pm tomorrow, I guess we’re all just a bunch of idiots!

I’ll just say, I’m waiting up for this tonight because I like seeing the crazy ways these guys put themselves and their music out there to fans. I felt like a part of history when I waited up alllll night long to be amongst the first to pay for my IR boxset and DL the album.

So here’s a new song, called ‘These Are My Twisted Words’.

We’ve been recording for a while, and this was one of the first we finished.
We’re pretty proud of it.

There’s other stuff in various states of completion, but this is one we’ve been practicing, and which we’ll probably play at this summer’s concerts. Hope you like it.

well . . .that s the price of being a dreamer . . . beautiful song as we new already . . . nothing compares [ for a person like me checking DAS GPT and ATEASE daily for years ] to be attack by surprise in the morning and finding the song there . . . this was spoiled by us fans talking non stop for a week [ or more ? ] about it . next time . . .

I was so happy to come home from work and find the post on DAS! It’s so nice of them to make us a part of it all, drive us to all kinds of speculations, etc, and share themselves and their work with us as it progresses.

For me, the melodic guitar and overall feel are very reminiscent of late 60s-early 70s Pink Floyd. Lyrics and vocals – “that’s a different story altogether… I had to beat them to death with my own shoes.”

THIS IS GREAT!!!! what a brilliant fucking group of people. Radiohead never cease to amaze me. The artwork is beautiful as well–these trees almost seem to have have been possessed by creatures and are subsequently dancing over the changing pages. Or perhaps I have lost my mind. Either way, beautiful work.

well . . . i got two new songs ! ! i made my second new song playing with the beats [ not sure if made by RH ] at wallofice.com and the new [ this are my twisted words ] . . . handy man enjoys longer __sounds like a great re_mix or just [ no speculations just enjoying life ] maybe why not perhaps those are the beats they use to start building ” T A M T W ” ?

werever – after the soap opera fans [ me? too ? ] did i needed more than one song [ wich is on my itunes counter already listened 7 times ] ____so i did this__ i am truly sure i will enjoy the new cd ep or any new download they would offer__because TAMTW got me already a lot better than the full in rainbows [ that i have the box set as a good fan that had money at the time that it came out probably have ]
