I've learned a long time ago not to second-guess Mr. Yorke in any release decision, as I always been so much more surprised and pleased when my expectations have been shattered.. again and again, and I am quite grateful for it. Every time. The last two tracks have been yet another departure from In Rainbows, at least I believe. There is an ever-constant smell of newness to everything they've done. I'm tickled to death that EMI released the extended cds (and their resultant slew of b-sides, live), and from what seems re-mastered compared to the original cd releases. They did a pretty fantastic job on the 45's and LP reissues on vinyl of mostly similar material. And while I'm sure the band loathes EMI, they managed not screw up their farewell money hump by producing inferior cds & vinyl. It is audiophile quality and smokes FLAC, pure and simple. Kudos to the band on putting out absolutely top-drawer sound for both formats with In Rainbows. Truly heavenly on LP. Don't stop doing whatcha do!

i just don't want to pre-order a vinyl before i've heard the tracks... but they might be sold out when i decide to do so... tougher call than usual but i'll survive. and i have enough rh/stanley artwork to last me a lifetime. it sits quiet and nice on shelves and no one ever looks at it

It's great to see we'll have two new tracks from Thom, plus - Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses - woo-hoo! So on one hand, I can't wait for this.

But on the other hand- TEN QUID for a 2 track 12"?!? Jesus that's steep! I'm sure the packaging will be nice and I know it's limited but that's the most i've ever paid for a single in my life. Sure, no-one's forcing you to buy it but if you're a fan you'll want the artwork. And why a limited release?

Anyone else concerned this is going to set a precedent for the way Radiohead release future material? Expensive physical product on vinyl-only on one hand and compressed MP3 on the other? I certainly hope not. Why can't they give us a Flac option? It's 2009 for God's sake!
