Thom Yorke confirmed on DAS tonight that the Echoplex show tomorrow night in Los Angeles is happening. He writes:

so listen right
that band thats doesnt really have a name that im working with at the moment??????
have decided to do a warm-up show on Friday Oct 2nd around 9pm at the Echoplex in Los Angeles
Its not that big, it’ll be total chaos and its kind of a rehearsal but .. if you are near by..
below is a link to get tickets.
hope you get lucky with it. if not you’ve got to be a really really really good friend to get in: )

so ain’t no point hanging around outside if you’re not!
the link should go live at 8.15pm
(i’ll believe that when i see it)

all the best

WTFASDFDSARFSDFSDFDS THE SHOW IS 18+????@!!!! This is the only opportunity I have to see my hero, and the bastards wont let me in, because they view younger people as a second class citizen incapable of handling the word “fuck”. I’ll sneak in anyway I know how.

2 Johnshoe October 1, 2009 at 8:27 pm

Link working? Ticketweb site says they go on sale at 12pm october 2nd.

3 Johnshoe October 1, 2009 at 8:29 pm

I apologize to all the civil users of greenplastic.com, but allow me to release my anger, to perhaps prevent a brain aneurysm.

11 tokenpunk October 2, 2009 at 11:11 am

I’ll be there.
joint has no box office. Show is strictly online tickets, thats why Thom wrote
“so ain’t no point hanging around outside if you’re not!”
nNxt time, Gadget.

I’m so nervous/excited that I’m staring to feel sick to my stomach. If I don’t make it to the show tonight I’m going to de devastated. Didn’t get tickets for Sunday or Monday so I doubt I can get tickets to this show, but we will see!!!

13 testlaB October 2, 2009 at 12:18 pm

14 dan October 2, 2009 at 12:21 pm

site still not working for me either…running two computers and my phone…none of them loading the page!

15 stephen October 2, 2009 at 12:24 pm

wtf, i refreshed the page at exactly 12:00, got a “Processing…” screen for 20+ minutes, then it finally loaded to say the show is sold out…………..
………………
…………………………………..

16 Jorge October 2, 2009 at 12:28 pm

The page too forever…first it says tickets sold at the door on first come first serve. Now it says sold out WTF. Did anyone get tickets online?

17 testlaB October 2, 2009 at 12:30 pm

i think u gotta wait in line till 8.15, i clicked the link before 12 and got the same screen, had it for 30 minutes now

18 octoban October 2, 2009 at 12:37 pm

Same here. Got the “processing” thing for thirty minutes, WTF, this is BS. Pissed off, man….

19 ei October 2, 2009 at 12:46 pm

20 pleasingliglights October 2, 2009 at 12:47 pm

No go for me as well the site said processing from 1145 till 1235 and then said sold out

A bunch of crap

21 testlab October 2, 2009 at 12:48 pm

the retarded thing is even after all u guys got ur asses handed to u, that link is still live, ull get that same screen if u click on it now

22 jeremy October 2, 2009 at 12:53 pm

i hit refresh at 12. processing, 4 minutes later i chose 2 tickets, will call ,accepted the terms and now its been processing for 45 minutes. does this mean that i got em?

23 ian October 2, 2009 at 1:10 pm

i got the same thing as jeremy, chose 2 ticekts will call etc, and still processing now…has anyone actually got the tickets?

24 jeremy October 2, 2009 at 1:15 pm

still processing, wata bout you ian?

25 testlab October 2, 2009 at 1:18 pm

anybody been processing for over an hour without the ticket page?

26 mary October 2, 2009 at 1:18 pm

The show is sold out..I processed for about 45 minutes on 2 computers. Then I went on my phone, where it actually loaded and it was sold out. My boyfriend was able to select 2 tickets, but it sold out before it finished processing his order… Someone has 2 tickets up on ebay for $1000……

27 Jorge October 2, 2009 at 1:20 pm

so at least two of you got through to the purchasing part of the site. There maybe a limited number of tickets at the door. That was the last message I got before it changed to Sold Out.

28 ian October 2, 2009 at 1:21 pm

still processing with those 2 tickets i selected

29 mitch October 2, 2009 at 1:46 pm

my friends gf got through, will called the tickets, printed out the confirmation page. both of us tried and got stuck on the processing thing, but thank god for her

30 Ru October 2, 2009 at 1:48 pm

31 peter October 2, 2009 at 1:49 pm

1:49pm: still ‘processing’ with two tickets selected…(I’m using Chrome and beginning to wonder if it has crashed)

32 testlab October 2, 2009 at 2:10 pm

i didn’t knw thom had really really really good friends.

33 stephen October 2, 2009 at 3:35 pm

this ticketmaster/ticketweb crap has got to stop. shame on everyone who buys tix from the ebay scalpers too.

34 peter October 2, 2009 at 4:07 pm

I gave up ‘processing’ the two selected tickets at 4.00pm. Oh well.
Enjoy the show, lucky people.

35 William October 2, 2009 at 4:21 pm

hmmm ticketweb and ticketmaster r bsers. OH well, no ticket for any days that Thom i playing. Gonna go Monday early and wait at the box office in case tickets are released at last minute. Anyone going without a ticket?

36 anonymous October 2, 2009 at 6:56 pm

Do you guys think that at the Orpheum show, if someone were to blaze, their would be people there who might take it away?

37 Skye October 2, 2009 at 9:09 pm

william, i’m going to try exactly what you said. let’s hope! or maybe some scalpers will be unsuccessful and have to sell for under face if they don’t want to lose completely? wishful thinking?

38 pntrs October 2, 2009 at 10:25 pm

radiohead argentina and radiohead peru have a few surprises for U

39 William October 2, 2009 at 11:24 pm

hey Skye, what day u planning to go. Ive done this before and managed to get into one or two concerts this way but i dont want to get my hopes up. Too many times has my hopes been crushed when anything radiohead live related has happened. To be honest the best view ive gotten of them was at coachella 2004 and thats because i waited 11 hrs in one spot just to see them up close. The way ticketmaster handles things, the fans always get screwed.

40 Skye October 2, 2009 at 11:37 pm

william, monday night. my hopes are always up. haha. the best view i’ve gotten was in santiago, chile last march when i was dancing inches from thom at an afterparty. getting into that was pure luck (or fate? long story. i’ll tell you about it if i run into you on monday). in any case, i’m counting on that luck again, i guess. unless more tickets happen to drop. i’ll be going WAY early on monday otherwise.

profminddoctor@gmail.com if you wanna get in touch.

49 William October 3, 2009 at 2:12 pm

Mary those are some crazy pics. How u get so close?

50 mary October 3, 2009 at 2:35 pm

Honestly, I couldn’t tell you. We got there around 6:30 and the line was super short. We just got really lucky yesterday. It was an incredible experience, and Thom was having a lot of fun. I got to yell a few things out to him and he responded to pretty much everything i said.
