If I can raise enough money I’ll hopefully see them in Boston as well.

See you again in Santa Barbara Thom! Anyone know what the deal is with the tix going on sale first at waste then at ticketmaster 3 days later? Is it possible it could sell out through waste before even getting to ticketmaster? Has anyone dealt with this sort of thing before whilst getting tickets?

4 jason February 25, 2010 at 2:59 pm

usually the tix on w.a.s.t.e are for the pit, as they were for the in rainbows tour. then everything else on ticketmaster.

5 Cher February 25, 2010 at 4:01 pm

Seeing you both nights in Chicago. Also, the venue is three blocks away from my house. Sweetness.

11 Sajida February 26, 2010 at 8:13 am

I just want to know what TIME the waste tix are going on sale.

12 Skye February 26, 2010 at 9:56 am

looks like thom couldn’t handle phil getting all the attention. fan wars in april.

13 snail February 26, 2010 at 6:01 pm

stop yapping negativity! does anybody know around what time waste tix usually go on sale?

14 EatMyBukake February 27, 2010 at 9:20 am

No, I want to see more negative comments about Thomas. Like how he changes so drastically from when he’s playing with Radiohead to when he plays solo or with another band.

15 Sarah February 27, 2010 at 10:00 am

“Thomas” changes so “drastically” when he is playing solo or with another band because he is so talented that only Radiohead or it’s style isn’t enough anymore to contain everything he has inside his head. There are many “Thomas” and we are lucky for living at same time as him so we can witness everything he can do.

16 luis February 27, 2010 at 12:15 pm

Praise Jah for Mr. Yorke. He answered my prayers exactly at the perfect time. I just finally paid off all my debt from seeing the In Rainbows tour at lalla and Day Dream Festival. Bad fuckin ass Thom. Thank you so and the rest of ya. I pray that I see ya both nights in Chi. Honestly Thom, this is epic. Since I heard the news like 6 days ago, I have nearly shutdown. I am surprised that I have still attended classes and gone to work. Oh Thom, praise thee.

20 jmidtown March 2, 2010 at 8:14 am

how could w.a.s.t.e sell out for both Roseland shows in less than 3 minutes…? Tickets looked like they went on sale at 10, and by 10:03, they said “allocation sold out”.

21 snail March 2, 2010 at 11:22 pm

the waste sale for NYC was insane! my friend was up all night and at the lat min we got tix but they went so fast I really feel bad for those who didn’t get one :(

22 John March 3, 2010 at 9:16 am

Chicago!!!!!!! I had two computers going at once, got them on one, and by the time I refreshed the other they were already sold out. They went on sale at 10:00am CST. Can’t wait!

23 Black Swan March 3, 2010 at 9:21 am

yes indeed, Chicago!!!!!! scored two myself for Sunday.thanks Thom.

24 freee March 3, 2010 at 12:58 pm

for the people that scored tix –how much were they?

25 etranger March 3, 2010 at 1:50 pm

$50/per. Tickets for the Saturday show were gone almost instantly.

26 fake plastic March 4, 2010 at 2:20 am

on waste it says that the santa barbara tickets are on sale but then it also says tickets go on sale on Mar. 6th at 11am. i’m confused are the tickets already sold out?
And they dont specify where to buy the tickets is it a waste or ticketmaster?
help me out please.

27 freee March 4, 2010 at 7:45 am

Fake Plastic –w.a.s.t.e has an allotment of pre-sale tix. So even if the presale tix are sold out (which they are) , you can buy tickets from the other sale site (ticketmaster or wherever it has listed) on the 6th at 11am

28 fake plastic March 4, 2010 at 9:43 am

ok thanks freee.
are the pre-sale tickets better seating or cheaper?
or is it insurance that you have a ticket for sure.

29 freee March 4, 2010 at 10:51 am

Ive heard that the presale tickets are orchestra/front row tix..but I’m not sure if that’s actually true. And even if it is true, that doesnt necessarily mean ALL of the front row tix are sold through the presale. There could still very well be front row tix through the regular sale too.

From what I’ve heard though–all of the tix are the same price –$50

30 freee March 4, 2010 at 11:02 am

wow–presale tix sell out faaaaaast ….Oakland sold out in about 90 seconds

31 fake plastic March 4, 2010 at 12:24 pm

do you think there’s a higher chance of getting the tickets at ticketmaster once they go on sale? or will it be as fast as the pre-sale?
I need to get the tickets for SB, i couldnt get tickets for the orpheum or the echoplex.
I guess if all doesnt work out i could go to coachella but i just wanna see thom.
and coachella is fucking expensive.

32 Ru March 4, 2010 at 4:15 pm

Santa Barbara, CA sold out in less than a minute……

33 freee March 5, 2010 at 6:51 am

Fake Plastic — I have no idea. But think of it this way ….

Thom Yorke is disputably one of the most famous artists of our time….and this is Atoms For Peace’s first official tour –the maiden voyage of a new super-group. AND the venues are fairly small –theaters, not stadiums– so there are less tickets to go around, and they are usually more desirable concerts because they are more intimate….

So I wouldn’t take any chances by waiting around. Your best bet is to be on the AFP ticketmaster page exactly at the start of the sale. If you cant, then find a friend to stalk the website for you –because my guess would be that it will sell out in a couple minutes tops.

It’s not impossible to get tickets though –you just have to be ON the ticketmaster page for the event a minute before the sale time starts and refresh the page RIGHT at the start time. I did it for Oakland pre-sale tix just to see how fast they sold out. On my first try, I was able to buy tickets if I wanted them (I’m going to the Boston show though…so I didn’t…I was just curious). By the time I refreshed the page twice; they were sold out. But yea, don’t get discouraged –it’s totally possible, you just have to get there quick.

Gook Luck! –I hope you score tix

34 fake plastic March 5, 2010 at 10:22 pm

ok thanks freee i will try my best to score tickets.
i’ve been practicing trying to get ticketmaster tickets haha.
wish me luck.

35 badu2 March 6, 2010 at 9:53 am

I just scored 2 for sat in Chicago in regular sale almost an hour after they went on sale at ticketmaster.
Whooo WEeee

36 Iain March 6, 2010 at 11:03 am

I just got Boston Tix from Ticketmaster half-an-hour ago and they offered tickets in various sections of the venue too…….from orchestra pit to balcony. Fifty bucks a pop plus the usual add-ons.

37 fake plastic March 6, 2010 at 12:35 pm

i just got two tickets to the SB BOWL.
section I…wanted better but its still pretty good.
I’m happy.

38 grilledsquid March 6, 2010 at 1:27 pm

i managed to get General Admission (floor level) tix for the SB Bowl show. can’t wait!

39 fake plastic March 6, 2010 at 1:33 pm

grilled squid did you get floor seats through pre-sale?

40 grilledsquid March 6, 2010 at 4:46 pm

no, i got them today from Ticketmaster. i started refreshing at 10:55 and got the prompt a few secs past 11. i did a speedy checkout and voila.

41 badu2 March 6, 2010 at 4:51 pm

still getting chicago tickets at 6 pm/////

42 grilledsquid March 6, 2010 at 5:02 pm

^^right on. i haven’t been to the Aragon in a LONG time. i think i saw the Cranberries there in 94. :P

43 badu2 March 7, 2010 at 8:28 am

still tickets both nights chicago and tickets santa barbara on Sunday morning…
Thom you should have gone south with your tour……..

44 seluropnek March 7, 2010 at 12:36 pm

@freee – I dunno about the other venues, but the Chicago Aragon Ballroom isn’t a small venue – it’s one of the biggest in Chicago, short of the stadiums.

I got a ticket for Saturday and I’m excited to go, but I can’t help but be a little disappointed it’s not in a more intimate setting like the House of Blues or even The Metro.

45 fake plastic March 7, 2010 at 1:48 pm

i’m really surprised that santa barbara isnt sold out yet.
it only seats like 4,500 which isnt that big.
somewhat disappointed, where did all the fans go?

46 jmidtown March 8, 2010 at 6:14 am

got tickets to both Roseland shows on Sat morning…! good thing, because the cheapest they’re going for now on the ticket resale site is > $310, with some asking for > $900 !

47 freee March 8, 2010 at 6:56 am

seluropnek — Oh, I didn’t know that. I’m going to the Boston show at the Wang Theater which seats about 3,500. I knew some of the other venues were around the same and assumed the Aragon “Ballroom” would be fairly small too. How many does it hold?

Fake Plastic –yea, I’m surprised at the slow ticket sales too. I wonder if this has anything to do with the criticism Thom has faced for his newer songs sounding “too simple/bare/waning/stripped” ? Who knows. I think it’s gonna be a really dope show though *shrugs*

jmidtown– are you sure those resale sites aren’t a scam? I thought all of the tickets are on a forced will-call pickup with immediate entry into the venue required. How exactly would someone be able to resell their ticket (especially in advance)?

48 Mark March 8, 2010 at 2:51 pm

Aragon is 4500. It is sold out for both nights (it was, at least minutes ago). Santa Barbara is taking longer and the answer is simple: Coachella. People who go to the festival will see them there. But will be sold out until the show anyway. Both NY sold out in 10 minutes. And don’t forget, they are paperless tickets, what sends the scalpers away. No scams asking for ridiculous money for the tickets this time.

49 Sarah March 8, 2010 at 3:53 pm

Aragon is huge! And it is beautiful. The shows there will be amazing: big venue, packed, with great music… bilss! :)

50 badu2 March 8, 2010 at 4:06 pm

I also think the paperless ticket is slowing sales. No speculators SCALPERS>>>
