Wow.
This was my 5th Radiohead show since the Hail To The Thief tour of 2003, and this was clearly my favorite.

My night was made straight away as the boys launched into Airbag, followed by There, There. Just incredible! Other highlights for me were the mesmerising renditions of Nude, Reckoner, and especially, Lucky.
I would've killed to hear The Tourist follow that, though...sigh... and I settled happy enough with EIIRP to close out this show.
The San Diego crowd was boisterous in the pit, but far too passive further back (I was in Sect. 204). Thom was animated throughout, but said very little beyond "thank you...we appreciate it". He almost aborted his takeoff during You and Whose Army, but he pulled it together with a chuckle.
At first encore, I moved to other side of the bowl and was pleased to hear Jonny's guitar in much better note (the overall boost was far too soft). It would be nitpicking to criticize the new "greener" LED lighting scheme, but it did lack the uber-intense wattage that just blew me away at my first show.
Overall, another great Radiohead experience! :-D

Wow! The San Diego show was awe inspiring. The crowd in my area was mellow, pensive and respectful. The band kept the flow going by breaking up the slower songs.

I have to say, the highlight of the night was a song I didn't really like that much, until now. "Climbing Up the Walls" was completely insane! Red lights everywhere. They completely rocked that one.

"You and Whose Army" was funny. Thom (man did he look like Seth Green tonight) cracked up while trying to look insane staring into the fishbowl camera at his piano. It took him a while to get it back together. Johnny even cracked a smile on this one. (He was looking insane every time he looked up all night. Colin on the other hand looked like he got the entire band's supply of happy juice throughout the show.)

"There There" was inspiring as usual. The arrangement for "Optimistic" was stripped down, but a great take on the song. The lights are outstanding on this tour. It's much better if you sit in the middle for these shows. Could the band please hurry with another album and get back out here so we can enjoy them again?

FIRST!
As the drum intro began for "All I Need", Thom walks up to the mic from the side, facing Ed, I was in the very front a little to the outside of Ed, so when Thom walked from the side facing Ed (me), I just gave an obnoxious big wave not ever intending it to make it to Thom, then holy shit! Thom kinda stopped , looked at me, smiled and started singing! I sweear to God it went down just like that. This chick right behind me said, "He was doing that to you! " i said, " I know" ! My best Radiohead moment ever!!!
What a show! What a setlist again proving they are the best band alive!
ps. Thom if you're reading this, I know you know and thats all that counts...

Well.. the traffic wasn't terrible I got there at about 6 and didn't have any problems, merch was insanely expensive however I got some nice posters for not so much. couldn't hear liars over their drums but the drums were good! Radiohead was fantastic as ever, not very chatty they were all business, the crowd really got into gear during there there. Talk Show Host was very impressive live as was just about everything they played. Paranoid Android and Just got the biggest reactions from the crowd but it was all class. Traffic getting out was a nightmare hope everybody got home safe.

This was my first time seeing them, and it was the best show I've ever been to!
When they played "You and Whose Army," Thom cracked up in the beginning. I thought he sneezed at first. I guess he might have laughed at the camera zoomed in on his eyeball.
They played everything I wanted them to play, and sounded goddamn amazing live! And of course the visuals were just stunning. And Liars being the opener was icing on the cake: they are crazy. If only I had better than shitty lawn seats...

A Radiohead show review is kind of redundant. I don't mean that in a bad way, but their so good all the time you kind of say the same thing over and over again. So here we go. It was an amazing show. This was my fifth time seeing these guys and they blow me away every time. All the little variations during some songs, the great light show, they played the Gloaming (!), it was fun. The band was in a good mood and Thom even cracked up in the beginning of "You and Whose Army" when he had his eye right up to the camera. I'm glad they play "Talk Show Host" and I finally got to hear "Airbag" too. Death. Taxes.A Great Radiohead show.

What more can I say than amazing. There are so many favs from last night. You And Whose Army, (Thom cracking up at himself was classic), Climbing Up the Walls, Street Spirit, I could go on. As usual they have proved to be the best band on the planet. Thank you RADIOHEAD.

wow wow wow! Seen these guys five times now. A friend hooked us up with a last minute upgrade to a vip "box" just behind the sound board coupled with HORRIBLE traffic management (F minus to Cricket on that one) caused us to "miss" the first three songs, got 'em with my ears though. it's worth "missing" three songs for a 50 (ish) row up grade ohhhhh yeah!!! no complaints really. I had intentions of writing out a set-list but the awe of the show quickly took over and I wrote out nothing. A highlight was surely the return of "talk show host". Two for two at Chula with that song! this was a different show for me, by far the best light effects. Yeah I'd seen 'em on youtube. But live, Woaaaeahha. There was more highlights on individual "Radioheads" the start of "How to disappear..." really featured Jonny. And at the begining of um... another song Pyrmid?? featured him bowing his very RARE fender STARcaster. Good to hear "Optimistic" live and "Where I end and you begin" a "rare touch. Really missed "Idioteque" and possibly "I might be wrong" and "The National Anthem" I would have traded "Just" for anyone of those. But hey I am in NO position to make any complaints!!! Took today off of work in hopes of hanging on to the awe for a little longer and to not soil that awe with the hassle of a work day. Thom really said nothing which is fine by me. Jonny spent a lot more time on the keys than I've seen on past tours. That's good for me. Ed was solid as normal and his backing "cry" vocals churned my soul. Colin is a Hoot and Phil is a FRIGGIN ROCK. I took my drummer friend and he took time to comment on the stibility of Phil. The lights the sounds... It all ended too soon! At the first "ending" I was happy to know we had a few more songs. I knew the show was over When Phil Kicked the beat to "Everything in it's right place" and Thom entered on the Fender Rhodes. I focused my attention just hoped it would run longer. The best show I've seen Supporting the Best album they've done and remembered by the best (pricey) swag ever designed. Yeah I bought a poster t-shirt and went to three tents for a water bottle. Fanboy.... hahaha. Very Good Show. When they are in my town (or near) in this case, I will never miss them live. Cricket Ampi sounds good and looks good but it's too far away with crappy roads and you must brave the San Diego gridlock to get there. Oh well. Awesome Show. Web cast tonite Suckas!!!! Thanks to my SD friends for helping to make this a great show.

Tight set. Band sounded great from my pit location near Johnny's side of the stage. Great choice of songs. Incredible highs and lows. 15 step, Airbag and There There opened the set. Got the crowd pumping. Where I end and you begin, How to diappear completely, Pyramid Song, You and who's army and of course House of cards were highs. Radiohead-The most creative and influential band of our era.

Amazing! second time i've seen them, and i liked this one much, much more. 4 tracks from OK Computer: lucky, paranoid andriod, climbing up the walls (!), and airbag. sweet jesus...the chemistry between the band is powerful. seeing them live really shows you who "Radiohead" is. cant reall pick a favorite other than the OKC tracks. reckoner, you and whose army? also stood out. street spirit...pyramid song...yes yes yes soooo stoked !!! great show, couldnt ask for more. I love Radiohead, one of my favorites of all-time.

one wish next time i see them: Planet telex and Sail to the Moon :)

This was my first Radiohead concert. I loved it, but there were a few songs I wished they would have played. I really wanted to hear Morning Bell, Idioteque, and even Motion Picture Soundtrack. Still, a very good show.

OMG!!!!
This was my first and ever RADIOHEAD show and it was insane!
Thom Yorke is pure genius.I would love to marry him =D

Everything was just perfect, they played all the songs i wanted them to play.

I just remember me and my sis being trapped in the Radiohead trance the whole time, and the lights were perfect to add to our trance.

It was truely what i needed, considering i drove from Riverside to see them perform ( awful traffic)and i also got a speeding ticket(going 96 in a 65 zone, ouch) and figured that my DL was suspended. But you know what i totally didnt even care because i was speeding to see the greatest band EVER!!!

I have waited 6 years to see my first Radiohead show and after last summer's heartbreak when I could not get tickets this was definitely worth the wait. I've seen countless shows in different music genres and this one was hands down the best show I have seen to date. The setlist was excellent as well as the crowd in my section. All in all my first (hopefully not my last)Radiohead experience was awesome!

so first of all I had pretty bad seats , section 304. So that morning I went on ticketmaster to try my luck and ended up getting a section 102 ticket. Long story short I ended up going by myself and found someone willing to trade me my 2 crap seats for a PIT ticket. I was soooooo excited but I thought what am I gonna do a this 102 ticket? Can u believe that NO ONE wanted it?? I mustve asked 20 people and they were all "naw man I'm cool on the lawn" are u people insane????? I was so unbelievably disturbed by the lack of rh fans in this place. Finally I found some girl who still seemed like she could take it or leave it, bit I gave of to her anyway.
that being said, the night ended up being the best night of my life so far. It was my 3rd time being in the pit for radiohead and topped them all hands down. Thom seemed in such a better mood than the hb shows, and I definitely locked eyes a jonny for about 15 seconds. I was the only one dancing and jumping around in my area and he looked over and smiled and nodded his head up and down as I jumped and screamed like some psycho person. Each song was more amazing than the last, I was so happy when they played you and whose army, bc they didn't play it in la (or sb).
after the show I stuck around and asked a roadie for a setlist but he didn't hear me, but then a different guy came down from the stage and gave me thoms guitar pick, then another guy handed me a setlist. I was so happy I could barely speak. After the show I waited around for about 3 hours or so until the crew came out and I talked one of them into giving me the radiohead 08 crew tshirt off his back haha. By then it was around 2 and this dumb security guy told me to leave.so I went and waited in my car for 30 min when I heard the busses honk, so I sped down to where they were and honked at their busses like a dork. I mustve looked so stupid since I was literally the last car in the parking lot plus my car is covered w rh stickers. I didn't care tho, I just really wish I wouldve waited outside the gate a bit longer. Instead I caravanned with their tour busses for 2 hours on the freeway, all the way home.

this was my fifth radiohead show, and i was enthralled to see them again certainly, but disenchanted by the modern rock spectacle unfolding. it could have to do with the critical theory i've been reading (like adorno/foster) or the ridiculous traffic jams, or the $5 a bottle water, but the chula vista ampitheater is not a place i would ever recommend to see a show. the energy there is strange. one can see houses lining the hill behind the ampitheater. i had no choice but to see radiohead here, as ticketmaster bans multiple tabs being open when purchasing tickets, so i couldn't get into the la show unfortunately. what baffles me still is that such an anti-capitalist band is so blatantly tied to the american capitalist machine. i mean, they play at ampitheaters, one can get their tickets through ticketmaster, etc. when thom sang 'the infrastructure will collapse' i was standing in the fucking strip mall section of the ampitheater, drinking dirty water from the water fountains that seemed to have been dormant for years. radiohead put on a great show, sort of, actually, a facsimile of there other great shows.. i guess you get into something and keep it going.. would love to hear a sound board recording as the set was really tight, but let's stand behind our theory, right? is it that impossible to play places other than cricket wireless ampitheater in chula vista? no parks or anything? i saw radiohead open air in grant park, chicago in 2001, and that was by far the best and most involved i've seen them.. here they seemed... well... joyfully coasting...

I've seen Radiohead perform live 4 times...Once in 2003 in Madrid, and the rest in the US. This was the best show that I have seen from them in the US. Energy, song selection, crowd, and golden hills were all highlights for me!

I've waited years to see Radiohead and was so excited to hear they were playing San Diego (when I was actually in town) I had lawn seats. Really wish I could have gotten better seats, but whatever, I was there. The set-list was insane. All of their In Rainbow songs dazzeled the stage as well as a good collection of some awesome others. 4 songs off of OK Computer (Lucky, Airbag, Paranoid Android and Climbing Up the Walls) just made my night (being my fav album) Honestly, they didnt play any of my fav non In Rainbow songs (Karma Police, Like Spinning Plates, Prove Yourself etc) but I was still up and singing along to every song that was played. Thom's crack up during You and Whose Army was hilarious and the lights were fricken insane but not completely overwhelming like other bands Ive seen. Even though this was the farthest away Ive ever been at a concert it was easily the best show Ive ever seen.

Hands Down.

Radiohead is always a treat here in San Diego. If you were lucky enough to be there, you were witness to one of the most talented bands and one of the most beautiful voices in music today.

The atmosphere was great the music bounced off the mountainsides and the lights were visually simple yet very colorful. I personally cannot believe another show has come and gone; two years was way too long to see such a phenomenal band live.

Finally, Jonny Greenwood is a musical genius.

I hope all that were there enjoyed seeing possibly the best band on the planet.

My tenth Radiohead show, and easily one of the best. There was that time at The Greek Theater, my first experience with ecstacy and Radiohead live, and the lights turned the crowd green during Fake Plastic Trees, and I wept for weeks afterward listening to that song. Then there were the Hollywood Bowl shows, including the one I went to without a ticket, and the fellow in the parking lot handed two tickets to my girlfriend and me, and we entered and found our box during My Iron Lung. You tell me there aren't angels. Then there was the Gorge in Washington, the first and only time Radiohead ever played Reckoner (the original, rock-hard version), and my sister, who was at the concert unbeknownst to me, went sailing by on the crowd's fingertips, ten feet away, dressed in all-black and a rainbow lei, and was deposited directly in front of Thom and promptly carted away by security. And the Santa Barbara Bowl. And the Shoreline Amphitheater (the only time I ever saw them stoned; they played Pearly). And now this. Chula Vista. Brilliant set. Lucky made me cry like a baby. I could not possibly ask for more. I'll die with a Radiohead melody in my head and my heart.

All i have to say is that for my first radiohead show i had pit tickets and i was able to get rail. i'd say that for a first radiohead show to be able to get rail is a blessing and a musical miracle. it's cheesy but it's unexplainable. next time around i hope to be in the same position but that's askin too much. until 2010. hopefully sooner

THIS WAS MY THIRD RADIOHEAD SHOW... I REALLY WANTED TO SEE THEM UP CLOSE THIS TIME... THE PIT TICKET I PICKED UP OFF OF EBAY WAS WORTH IT, SEEING THAT I FAILED PICKING UP ANY OFF THE W.A.S.T.E. ALLOCATION I STAYED UP ALL NITE FOR, OR ACQUIRE DECENT TIX OVER AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL SHOWS IN LA... IT WAS WORTH THE 2 HOUR DRIVE FROM LA... REALLY COULDN'T ENJOY THE SHOW UNTIL REMINISCING ON IT THE FOLLOWING DAY, IT WAS TOO SURREAL WHILE I WAS THERE... THE LIARS' SET WAS PRETTY GOOD, TOO... I CAN UNDERSTAND WHY THOM CALLS THEM ONE OF HIS FAVORITE LIVE BANDS...

This was the third Radiohead show I've been to and it really was great... they never let you down on the song selection, the energy, the music, lights, everything is perfect (in its right place, lol)

'How to disappear completely' was the highlight of the show for me, I love that song and hearing it live for the first time was intense! 'Climbing up the walls' was insane,
'Nude' was beautiful... in the spot I was, everyone was listening! you couldn't hear anything but the music and it really added to the experience.

just amazing! that's what this show was, I hope I can see them again soon!
