it was the second time i saw radiohead, i saw them last august at Lollapalooza, i still believe Lolla was one of the best concerts ever, but i enjoyed a lot the reaction of the Mexican audience, and i think they really felt it and liked it.
it was great to see Jonny moving from one side to another!

In one word: Gracias!

It was worth every single moment of waiting. Listening to 60,000 people singing along No Surprises and Fake Plastic Trees sent a shiver thru your spine. Also, the set list was HUGE.

And not only us, but the band clearly enjoyed every track. It was great to watch Thom jumping and dancing like a maniac to the tune, and bowing and thanking the cheers of the crowd. Even Johnny, in his more self-centered mood, seemed overwhelmed by the response of the public. And you could see Ed, Colin and Phil enjoying themselves immensely.

My favorite moment? Lucky. Or Street Spirit. Or No Surprises. Or Jigsaw. Or Everything in its Right Place... Well, you get it.

Watching Radiohead live in 2009 is the equivalent to watching Pink Floyd back in 1994.

Awesome.

Not the first time I saw RH, but first time I see Thom that connected and thankful to the crowd. Definitely the crowd can really make the difference between a good concert and an awesome gig like last night's show. I'm sure the band now has an entirely different perspective to what they had from their 94 show and how crazy people can get from watching 'big bands' like RH. I hope with this the band cñnsider Mexxhcñ fñr tñuring. Awesñme shñw!

AAAAAAbsoooooluuuuteeeelyyyyy aaaaaaaaamaaaaaaaaaaaaziiiing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-O

Fake Plastic Trees was the "crying moment" of the night... Also Videotape has the same feeling... Thom sing it both with such a saaad and melancolic tone that makes me cryyy like i've never do it in my entire life... (I called many times in the night to my sweetest "friend" Sally who also is a great great fan of radiohead -inclusive more than meeee-, and shee starts to cryyyyy even when she's just hearing by phone!!

Kraftwerk left me... o_0 Brilliant!!!! A fool behind me said "OHHHH Radiohead should bee opening to this guys tonight!!" Obvioulsy he was a fool but their were the perfect band without a doubt.

Please... if youu were there, make a review here.. let's share the experience of this memorable and orgasmic night!!!

Ps. Sorry about my english, i'm a fool i know... :P

HAIL TO "MY" SALLY :D

No words, It just was indescriptible. Thanks RH to made us the life.

Let me cite you a Nietzsche quote: "Without music, life would be an error." It seem a quite similar like: "Without Radiohead music would be an error."

Cheers from this intelestellar place.

i flew in from my hometown santa ana, ca with my best friend and oldest brother to experience Radiohead live in Mexico City, and the band delivered the goods...as always.

i was fortunate enough to also watch 'em at outside lands in Frisco and at the Chula Vista show this past tour; but this last show was the best out of all 3. even though i was hoping for some rarities (Tokyo International 10/08 set, anyone?) the set list was great- the band performed all of "In Rainbows" and a little of every album except "Pablo Honey."

Thom sang his heart out and the band sounded superb to say the least. Jonny was all over the stage as usual. Thom didn't speak much; at a certain point he said "Gracias" and during one of the encores he asked the crowd, "Are you ready?" The light show was just as mesmerizing as the 1st time around.

one of last night's highlights for me was the crowd's strong response and positive energy. the crowd was not afraid to cheer during songs and they were even going nuts when Radiohead busted out the ballads.

it was nice to finally be amongst a crowd of fans who were equally as enthusiastic as i was and dancing and cheering as much as i was.

i call them Mexican radiobears, like me...haha.

Kraftwerk was an amazing opening act- they got the dance party started (the robots were a plus) and Radiohead had some awesome dub reggae playing on the speakers as always before their show (Jonny?).

people were running out of the venue once the show ended, maybe because they already knew a sea of people from the general floor area would be heading out the same path that eventually becomes more and more narrow.

i got stuck in the crowd like a sardine for less than 10 minutes but managed to walk away quickly from the street the crowd was pouring out on.

besides exiting the venue, the evening was laid back, the people were friendly and peaceful and we even met some cool people who drove 3 hours from Monterrey, MX to get to the show.

overall it was an amazing good time. if Radiohead is reading, cheers guys!

The show was great. Radiohead played two hours with music and a real connection with the audience. I enjoyed "no surprises". 60 000 people sang along with the band. In the following hyperlink, you can find a drawing from Thom, made by a Mexican cartoonist: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2U76xPSF8lE/SbgqYNMX1gI/AAAAAAAABHM/Zak1Mw-s83M/s1600-h/THOM.jpg

i loved the show
i´m so glad i´ve finally seen them.
the set list was great, karma police was not there, but i guess it is ok since they play many material from "the bends", wich i love.

the new songs really work live.

i wish Tom had said a little more than "gracias" for us, i mean, it has been 15 years.

well, the show rocked, and that is what matters

I'm closer to my perfect dead by now, i've seen pink floy and radiohead in the same place (fortunalety to my heart not at the same time)
I only heard about the 1994 concert in méxico, i knew about it only by a friend's friend. I've expected for this moment for more than twelve years, and everything was perfect. The audience, the band, the sound. Thank you radiohead.

speechless
no matters what happens now, i shouldn't be afraid because yesterday was the most perfect day i've ever seen...They kept us singing, dancing, screaming, crying, laughing , all at the same time.
Everything was so in sync, amazing really.

Hi everybody.
English,
I was with my girlfriend almost in the farest line. This night feeling hadn't distance. We were as shocked as the lucky guys in front of the stage. Memorable, unforgettable, but must repeatable.
Español.
No tuvo madre. El parteaguas fue una pregunta concreta: How come I end up where I started?

I was on both concerts, Kraftwerk was a very special guest and such an honour Radiohead paid to one of the most influential bands of recent electronic music, excellent musicians and above all, artists.

Radiohead just blew my mind, their timing is perfect and also is their sound. You can feel how each one of them puts his particular effort to the songs. How Phil and Colin sound so tight, the former with a superb drumming style and the latter keeping the off and on beats of Phil. Jonny with magnificent solos or keyboard parts or adding real complicated electronic drum fills within Phil's drumming. Ed's atmospheric sounding, decorated with beautiful harmonies and backing vocals. His rythmic guitar is outstanding. And last but not least, Thom's singing with such depth and passion, his piano parts, his guitar riffs and crazy dancing spreads around the arena and pulls screams and ovations out.

It doesn't matter that Thom and Jonny giggled during 'Faust Arp' on the first night, or how on the second night, Thom began singing 'Exit Music (For a Film)' in C minor rather than B minor, presumably as a mistake by one of his roadies who capoed Thom's guitar on the third fret rather than on the second fret, they were astonishing.

The thing that lets me a little down, is that during the bloody concert people around me were more concerned on lightning the next cigarette or asking for the next beer. It's so sad for me to say, in my point of view, that us mexicans don't have very much respect for artists. Come on! Radiohead had not come in years, we had lost any chance of them returning to Mexico to do a concert and when they do the only decent thing we could do was scream nonsense, show how ignorant and disrepectful we are and waste our bodies with booze or ciggies instead of listening such a wonderful band. It's a shame.

Thanks for reading and good luck too all fellow brazilians, argentineans and chileans, you won't be disappointed.

You should check out the second day's playlist cuz they played talk show host, the bends or I wish (I don't remember the name of the song cause I hardly play the first two albums), spinning plates, you and whose army, exit music for a film (where Thom had to cut it out because he ccould't play it right) and oh yes .. creep.

That one was very weird because Thom said "have a good life" then open the arms to us when singing "whatever makes you happy" and then leave, kind of weird.

Great gig anyway, greetings.

Radiohead came here decades ago to find a country that didn’t knew too much about them. But that changed, 15 years later Thom Yorke was singing to 60 thousand screaming fans and it was nothing short of amazing. Mexicans are intense as an audience, singing, clapping and following the band`s every move with a passion I haven’t experienced anywhere else (saw them once in Madrid with the Hail to the… tour and I’m sorry to say that our fellow Spaniards got nothing on us). The evening was beautiful, touching, powerful… everything a Radiohead gig is supposed to be. The entire leds set was awesome and turned the show into a tsunami of light. I just hope the band enjoyed it as much as we did.

Simply the best Radiohead concert ever! One of the most happiest days in my life in company of my soon to be wife, friends and fellow RH fans! Listening to Thom Yorke's voice, a perfect sound performance and an amazing light show still has me buzzing of excitement!

Loved it when Thom Yorke forgot the lyrics to Faust Arp and laughed with all 60k audience at Foro Sol.

Thanks RH and please come back to Mexico soon!

Cheers,

GREAT! Amazing setlist on both days. All the songs sound perfect. On the first day Thom forgot a part of faust arp and he just laugh about it.
But he looked very happy with the crowd, he was smiling all the time and even made a reverence to all the public. There was a moment when everybody were cheering for Jhony (I believe that was a great moment for the band). When Jhony left, he sent a kiss to the crowd.

On the second day a really weird thing happened. Thom was playing "Exit music" and he just paused for a second but continue playing until all the band came up but unsynchronized so Thom just stop completely and start all over again but something didn't like him abot his guitar and he just stop again. All the crowd was amazed about it, some of them were laughing and others realloy upset about it. Anyway Thom stop playing and just said something like "we will leave this one for later" :s

The show closed with creep and I still don't understand why. Maybe it was a joke for Mexico people because the 15 year ago they had to play the song twice. Or maybe they were very excited with the first day and decided to reward their audience. It would be great to know why they choose to play the song. But check the complete setlist it was great!

but the rest of the song blew mi mind i was litteraly tripping with mi girlfriend just by listening to the music, perfect audio.

It was a long wait but it was well worth it. The set list was incredible, tilted towards The Bends and In Rainbows, but fantastic non-the-less. The people who attended the first date where lucky, since in the second one there were some problems with the sound, and Exit Music For a Film was cut short. Still fans from both dates left satisfied, the second night was closed with Creep, which has given for a lot controversy amongst fans, although I personally believe it had more to do with the band's history in the country than with pleasing "occasional fans".
All in all it was the best it could have been.

Gracias Radiohead.

i love the coloured scenery with all that leds and the great camera angles.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! I went to the first one, with no other idea in my mind as the 15 years of waiting. Kraftwerk r much better than i thougt, but-(sorry for this)- one hour of them is further enough. About radiohead, i just can say that they never compose, arrange, or play music, they always create ATMOSPHERES, and the waving energy comes straight from the stage.

I cant wait until the next concert in México, hoping a wider tour, including some other cities.

LARGA VIDA A RADIOHEAD. POR CIERTO, EL CONCIERTO ESTUVO MUY CHINGÓN, ES DECIR, DE POCA MADRE.

Amazing show. Just unbeliavable. Kraftwerk did great, real great.

Radiohead came in about 9:35. The people´s roar sometimes shadowed the band. Good sound -at least in my spot, almost everything crystal clear. The band seemed in good energy, except on the Exit music incident, when Thom screwed up, stopped playing, only to come back, restarting the song. When the whole band kicked in, both Colin and Thom ruined it, so they gave it up, leaving us all with held tears.
Encore 1 was truly amazing. REal high energy. Great interpretations of all songs, which made a great selection. All of it was a great moment.
Encore 2 was mellower. They started with creep, which also was a great collective moment -like karma police, paranoid android and others.

Probably the best show of all my life. And sure it was -as for my little sister and my gf one of the best experiences ever.

Unfortunately, I only attended to sunday's concert :( but it was probably the best night i've ever had.. I couldn't believe I was actually going to see RADIOHEAD until I heard the first beats of 15 step...

I really enjoyed listening to each song, from Pyramind Song, Fake Plastic Trees (because you could hear all the "Foro Sol" singing and it was a very emotive moment), an excellent version of The Gloaming, Street Spirit, Lucky, Optimistic, all the songs in In rainbows and obviously all the others.. until finally end up with Everything In It's Right Place, which I think everyone really was expecting to listen.

The setlist of both dates was very pleasing for all the fans, at least for me, but I feel really bad for not going both days because I missed three of my favourite songs: Climbing Up the Walls, Like Spinning Plates and Talk Show Host!!!!

What I think about Radiohead playing Creep on the second date, was that they were trying to say to all of us Mexicans that they weren't resentful about their concert back in 1994 when the supposed "fans" only knew that song... It was a way to say to us that although they don't like playing that song, we had waited 15 years for them to come back and they were giving us what we wanted.. (I wasn't expecting that song, but I think it was a good thing to do, although a lot of fans don't like it)

I'm really looking forward to have Radiohead back in Mexico soon and certainly everyone that was there is thinking the same thing.

The only thing I can say is that seeing Radiohead playing alive it's just the kind of experience you can't ever forget...after two concerts I'm still speachless (maybe beacause I sang until my voice almost disappear-completly) and my feet hurts really bad but I don't care... I just hope that they come back soon and remember that still owe us EXIT MUSIC!!!!

The show was just amazing. No doubt: the best in my life. I had seen Radiohead last year in Malahide Castle, Ireland, when they were starting the 'In Rainbows' tour. I have to say that that night (6th of June) was.brilliant: double rainbow in front of the stage just a couple of minutes Radiohead jumped on stage, the castle on the right, amazing setlist, etc. Yet, I also have to say that what I experienced in Ireland is nothing compared to what I saw on Sunday and Monday in Mexico.

To me, the main difference was the band itself. For those who had seen Radiohead live, and for those who haven't but can just go on youtube and check out live concerts you will see what I mean. I had never seen Thom with such energy on stage. Dancing, jumping, laughing, having fun, etc. With respect for both bands and with no intention to compare, it reminded me a bit of the energy of Cafe Tacvba on stage merged with the greatness and magic of Radiohead.

Finally, the setlist in both concerts was just great. They played all the songs I could have wished including 'Talk show host' and even 'Creep'.

Thank you Radiohead and all the souls gathered those nights in Foro Sol. I will always remember it.

I went to the concert on Monday. I think it was the most intense, because it was the first date that they had announced, and the one for which the tickets sold out in less than an hour.

It was just incredible, the surge of emotion you could feel, there was this intense static and energy in the air and all the people there, before the band came out, an incredible anticipation, then BANG, Kraftwerk, which was just SUPERB, couldn't have been better, and the audience was excellent, then a short interval and out comes RADIOHEAD.
15 Step starts sounding, 50 million people go crazy, Thom Yorke's voice resonating around the Foro Sol and every single person singing along.

Every song they played sounded perfect, I think the most intense moments were Paranoid Android, How to Disappear Completely, Karma Police, well, Creep at the end obviously, came as an enormous shock to us all, no one in the crowd had even asked for them to play it, out of respect for the band, and they played it on their own accord... this was just incredible. Thanks you guys.

Anyway, it was really sad when they couldn't play Exit Music (for a film) I was honestly really looking forward to this song since it is so powerful and emotional and overall beautiful, but oh well, some other time maybe.

So overall just an incredible, breathtaking experience.

I am testimony that Radiohead music is healing. I was sick and in the moment they began to play I felt great...The first concert was pretty much complete, but the second one I could see them having lots of fun, saying "gracias" a lot, and laughing and jumping a lot more than in the first concert. I like the fact that their concerts are always different. On the first one I couldn't stop crying and the second concert was more energetic.

This makes up for the time I had to chase them down around the world, without luck on getting tickets, money or time to see them.

Grrrrr, I went to the March 16th concert, and I don't want to believe that the first show was better. I think that the second setlist was musically superior, with a backbone of Kid A/Amnesiac songs. Yet, I love dearly some earlier songs of the first program: Fake Plastic Trees, Street Spirit, Lucky... I should have bought tickets for both concerts :-(

Anyway, it was great. How To Disappear Completely made my night.

@Jonny webmaster: For some reason I couldn't leave a review in the March 16th, I just got a "this machine will not communicate".

. I swear that this was indeed a phenomenal experience to see so many people become entranced with the beautiful voice that sounds extraordinary. At that moment I saw Thom and his followers were entering a time of history, where many generations hence present a varied program, which under a stage where they are responsible for a global shift in music.

Tuve la oportunidad de ir las dos fechas y la verdad me quede sin palabras... lo mejor que he visto en mi vida, valió la pena esperar tanto tiempo y con Kraftwerk obvio no podíamos pedir más...

Ya me puedo morir!!!

Yes, I was there and I have no words to express how I felt and how I feel right now. I had/have no human feelings. I screamed, sang and almost cry when Thom was singing "All I need", singing to us, and when he was dancing I was dancing with him.
In a minute of silence, I screamed out "I love you Ed!" but I was too far from him. That monday was the best day of my fucking life.
Something weird happened when they was playing Exit music and all the fans were pretty sad because thet didn't finish that song.
Now, when I'm going to school or coming back to house and I'm listening my iPod, I'm like a stupid girl smiling all the time, just remembering...

I wish I could thank Radiohead to come to Mexico and make me so happy...

I was just marvelous listening to songs i've waited to listened live for so many years. They sounded incredibly clear. The echo in the stadium sended shiver down your spine. Awesome! It felt a mystic atmosphere. Yeea i was on acid... that's why it freaked me out when they stopped exit music... i thought it was kinda of artistic reinterpretation.. but it was just a mistake.. Have a good life?? HOw should I undestand that with that tone of voice.... i don't know. I had mixed feeling about it. Two hours is not enough time for listening live to RH. Wow!!! KidA, Like Spinning Plates, Optmistic!!, Lucky, Nude, the Gloaming, knives Out... Anymays.., Hope to see you performing soon.

Love you.

MMMMMMM well what can i say? We travelled half way across the Globe from Inverness, Scotland UK.
Saw them in June on Glasgow Green,i have to say that without a doubt it was far better than Foro Sol! What with the torrential rain and Thom upsetting the locals( terrible weather, you should try being down soooooouuff!) only added up to a very intense gig, next time play open air Scotland later in the year boys, you will get a better led effect if you do!
As for Foro Sol/ only went to the Sunday night and i have to say it was shithot! Boys keep up the good work when is the next album coming? Sadly Too many Mexicans were only interested in recording the gig on their fones! i mean come on 15years since they played and you only want to record it to post on you tube? get a life mexico!
My only grace is that my g/f and i were in a trance like state from the moment Rh came on and we totally forgot that we were surrounded by a capacity crowd of rude ignorant spics, Met a Lass from chicago and her bf Salvador, lovely people and they renewed faith in concert fans as they were so nice Thanks Mel, but after such a long way to travel i wish i had waited and gone to argentina or Peru instead ! Yes the atmosphere was electric , everyone singing and crying but the attitude of the mexicans towards foreigners is disgusting,(I will remember that attitude if ever i meet a gringo in the uk gigging trust me!)
Anyway this is dragging a bit boys, As Thom said on the first night halfway through the gig, Thanks for inviting us! See you soon lads

I went to the first show, and it was amazing, those are musicians dammit! when they played nude god I thought I was going to die and even though they didn't play karma police they compensated it with pyramid song I think, I never thought they would play it, and it's one of their greatest songs. And when they played faust arp (jonny and thom) and thom laughed in the middle of the song the whole public laughed with him too and that felt really good. And when they played fake plastic trees, that was when the public felt more united I think, watching thom yorke, his face twitching with the sad energy of the song....tears streamed down my face...
thank you radiohead!

Great show.
