I saw The Concert in Piazza Michelangelo both nights, and up to par as usual both nights were awesome. The stage was a similar set to the amniesiac tour with the moving "light wall" There was a great set list including previous songs High and Dry, Karma Police, Paranoid Android, Bends ect. ect. Seeing both nights of the concerts, one could sense a change in the second night, Thom was a little bit more "slurred" than usual and kept saying "molto bene molto grazie!" You might even have thought that he had enjoyed a few Floretine Chianti's before the show...Halfway through Karma Police, at the start of the second verse he forgot the words continuing in a hum every now and again throwing in a misplaced word. Once the song was over, Thom started laughing and burt out acapella "for a minute there I lost myself I lost myself" perhaps hinting that yes did in fact lose himself. The crowd was riled up, and massive cheering could be heard in support or the band and their one of a kind rendition before moving onto the next song. Excellent concert it was my third.

Great night, great gig, great audience, great setlist! The show was more than 2 hours of genuine excitement and inspiration. The guys were in their best mood, Thom joking with Italian (saying "amore" "molto bene" "grazie" many times and talking with a strange drunk-like voice) while Jonny's special effects made that night far more magic, and everyone in the crowd lived an experience that won't be possible to forget. Radiohead played almost all the tracks from "Hail to the thief" (with the exception of A Wolf At The Door, I Will and We Suck Young Blood), and songs from Amnesiac, Kid A, OK Computer, The Bends, while (unfortunately) they completely ignored Pablo Honey. People attending the show seemed to be waiting also for Exit Music For A Film, that wasn't played, so they could have been a little disappointed, but I think that no one can complain for the set-list. At the end of Sit Down, Stand Up the word "FOREVER" passed through the light wall on the stage; it was beautiful... After the second enchore they came back to the stage for "Karma Police", which closed the show. Thom was about to leave, said "good night", then changed his mind and came back, starting singing "phew for a minute there I lost my self..." conducting the crowd with his hands, like a choirmaster, and everyone sang so loud that they filled Florence' sky with their voice...

Florence 7/9/2003
I am a big fan of Radiohead just for about a year so this was my first Radiohead live experience. It was really a great gig if I compare it to the ones i saw on TV. Thom was in a really good mood and he was doing that funny laughing that he already did on this tour. I came to Florence from Slovenia, because it was the nearest gig Slovenian fans could go to. The most passionate Italian fans were sleeping in front of the scene after the 8-7-2003 concert and in the morning they were first in the line for the concert. We came to Florence with bus at 15.00 and I went to the line immediately so I was really near the stage. Show started at 21.30 and it was incredible. In the middle of There there Jonny stopped playing drums and played a guitar for a while, but then played drums again. Thom’s voice was breath-taking as always and Jonny was really showing his geniality while playing guitar. They played Just which crowd loves very much. The Idioteque was good as always, Thom was jumping and dancing all the time. Thom dedicated Go to sleep to all that can sleep no matter what and then said: I'd bet you can't. He made a mistake while singing Karma police, he sang : arrest this girl, but then quickly sang : I've given all I can... It was really funny, because the crowd noticed it and everybody started laughing and so did Thom. When the band went off the stage at the end of concert, Thom came back and just sang along with us the best part of Karma police again: Phew, for a minute then, I've lost myself... then said : ''goodbye everybody, thank you so much for coming this evening, grazie (thank you in Italian) !'', and then left the stage.
