There is an interview with Stanley Donwood in the latest issue of Dazed and Confused, available now in fine bookstores. Here's a little snippet:
Stanley Donwood has been in with Radiohead since his Exeter uni days. Here, he gives a glimpse into what inspires visuals every bit as inspiring as Thom Yorkes music.
After many false starts I began working on the series of pictures that I called London Views. The series eventually became a panorama that stretches from the outer reaches of the Thames estuary upstream as far as Battersea, destroying the Flood Barrier, Canary Wharf, The Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament and much more besides.

A new Radiohead DVD, OK Computer: Classic Album Under Review, will be released via Music Video Distributors and Sexy Intellectual on September 19. The 53-minute film reviews Radiohead's 1997 masterpiece track by track. Contributors include writer/journalist/Radiohead: A Guide to Their Music author Mark Paytress, ex-MOJO editor Barney Hoskyns, Radiohead biographer Alex Ogg, and more.
Rare live and studio performances of each OK Computer song (and Pablo Honey's "Creep") will be featured in good ol' 5.1 surround sound. In addition, the disc will house "The Hardest Interactive Radiohead Quiz in the World Ever", full contributor biographies, and a "Beyond DVD" section, whatever that means.
Radiohead have wrapped up their extensive North American tour and will break for a bit before making a series of August festival performances.

Canada - #2
So we've been on vacation for a week and came back to everyone talking about Thom Yorke and his new album The Eraser. Even my Dad was talking about him after hearing the Fresh Air interview. If you haven't heard the interview yet, check it out here.
Yes, The Eraser is everywhere. Thom is everywhere. As we reported earlier, Thom was on Henry Rollin's show recently. You can view bothperformances via YouTube now. Check them out.

Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan, Ballad of the Broken Seas
Editors, The Back Room

Muse, Black Holes & Revelations
Zoe Rahman, Melting Pot
Lou Rhodes, Beloved One
Scritti Politti, White Bread Black Beer
Sway, This Is My Demo
Thom Yorke, The Eraser
This year's winner will be announced on September 5. Both Thom and the Arctic Monkeys are considered favorites to win.
So run out and grab your copy of The Eraser. It's actually available through iTunes which is surprising since in the past, none of the albums in Radiohead's catalog have been available.
Thom will be on today's episode of Fresh Air hosted by Terry Gross. If you're near your radio, definitely check it out. If not, I believe NPR should be streaming it live or have it available to listen afterwards.
Fresh Air is produced at WHYY-FM in Philadelphia and broadcast nationally by NPR. You should check the NPR Website to find out when it will air in your area.
Thom Yorke's album The Eraser is out in shops today in the UK and tomorrow in the US. Go and grab yourself a copy and rejoice. Of course, if you were one of the ones that downloaded the album when it leaked last month, you will be buying it, won't you?
If you're still on the fence about whether or not you should check out this "solo" effort by Thom, maybe these reviews will help you:
Check it out folks... Here is a link of Thom performing "The Clock" live on the Henry Rollins Show. Pretty awesome, huh?
This episode will air July 15 at 10 PM ET IFC with an encore July 20 at 11 PM ET, and will feature another performance by Thom with the help of Jonny and Nigel. Set your Tivos!
"Harrowdown Hill" is set to be released as a single off of Thom Yorke's album The Eraser and will be out on August 21, 2006 according to XL Recordings. It'll be released as 12" vinyl and what's even better is that there will be two b-sides called "The Drunkk Machine" and "Jetstream". Nice!
Check out this site and try to figure out what it is. Don't worry, we're here to help. It looks like a cool promotional stunt for The Eraser. Our guess is that you have to go about looking for this guy who is holding a pair of headphones. Take a listen. Take a picture. Upload it.
We assume this is happening in London only. The image above should give you a hint on where to find him.
There is a fantastic interview with Thom Yorke now available on the NY Times website. Please note, registration is required. The print edition also includes has an extensive article on Radiohead's recent tour of North America and The Eraser.
An audio interview is also available to download here.
